Junior C Men, Premier Football Division 6
Simonstown 0-6 Ratoath 1-11
Simonstown put in a good performance against a more mature experienced Ratoath side in this Premier Championship Rd 2 game in Simonstown on Sunday morning.
Playing with a strong wind Ratoath registered 4pts early on from play but the hosts replied with points from Rurai Brady and David Kavanagh. The visitors finished the half well with 3 pts while Ronan Duffy brought off an excellent save on the stroke of time to leave Ratoath leading at the break 0—7 to 0—2.
Early 2nd-half points from Charlie McNulty and Frankie Cullen reduced the margins to 3pts. But Ratoath's experience against our young players saw them manage the game better against the wind. Scott Feldman finally rattle the Sims net with 8 minutes left and Ruairi Brady completed the scoring with 2 late points.
