After months of anticipation, the 'return to play' for underage GAA teams begins on Monday night next.
It will be a welcome sight to see the fields again populated with young players and their dedicated coaches. Their patience has been rewarded.
Hopefully, a long summer can follow and clearance for games will be granted in the weeks ahead.
But for now, training will be non-contact in pods of 15 and adherence to that will be expected.
As many will know, the clubhouse is currently in the hands of the HSE as the main vaccination site for Meath and the numbers being administered with vaccines will be increasing very significantly in the weeks ahead.
That obviously prompts a change in normal practice for how players and parents move around the building.
Access will be as normal, by the main avenue with parking for team-related activities by the all weather pitch at the 'far' side of the building.
The exit will be by the Kilsaran Lane gate ONLY. The advice is to care in driving around the building and be mindful that there is much activity at present.
Care will also be required in leaving by Kilsaran Lane.
Times and dates for training on Saturday mornings and during the week are available from team coaches.
The same Covid protocols that were in place during 2020 will again apply for 2021. Parents are asked not to congregate while the teams are training while every player must have their own unique water bottle.
We thank you for your understanding and really look forward to re-engagement in the coming days.
