Hurling Wall Skills Test

Date: November 24th 2020 Time: 7.30pm Aimed at: Youth Coaches

This new skills test has recently been developed to improve a number of skills for youth hurling players in the county (U13 - U17). These include, good accurate striking, first touch and attacking the ball. This test is designed to give coaches a base to see what skill level their players are at and what they need to work on in their coaching sessions.
Participants will receive an introduction on this test over webinar and have an opportunity to ask questions.

Fitness Roadshow : GAA 15 and Conditioning through Small Sided Games

This webinar will firstly explain the reasoning behind and the application of the GAA 15 warm up and how it can benefit players by reducing the chance of injury and increase overall performance. Secondly, this webinar will examine the use of Small Sided Games to increase aerobic and anaerobic conditioning of our players while also developing other vital areas of our games (technical skills, team play, tactical). This webinar is aimed at coaches of U13 teams and upwards.

Mental Health Well Being Evening

Date: December 7th Time: 8.00pm Aimed at: All welcome

Dudley Farrell will present a discussion on mental well-being with Ryan Cinnamond and Oisin McConville. Dudley has been involved with the Cycle Against Suicide awareness charity which strives to break down the barriers around mental health illness and works to increase awareness of the supports and treatments that are available to empower those affected.
Ryan Cinnamond "You're not disabled by the disabilities you have, you are abled by the abilities that you have".
Oisin McConville "I was playing football because it kept me alive at the time, it gave direction.
Hear their inspirational stories on what promises to be a very interesting chat.

This will also be supported by Sosad and will be providing resource packs on the night and also in association with Jigsaw.
