Simonstown  1—14 (1—7)Trim 2—11 (1—3)​

    Fionn O Hanluain was the hero when he slotted over a forty five(45) in sixth minute of added  time to earn Simonstown a draw in Bective on Saturday afternoon in blazing  sunshine. Referee Gus Martyn allowed water breaks and  rest time at mid time in each half. This result sees Simonstown into Quarter Final of Premier Div 2 Championship.

   Peter Duffy got the scoreboard ticking for the  Navan men from far out after three minutes.Fionn O Hanluain slotted over but two frees for Trim left it 0—2 each at end of first quarter. A flowing Trim move end with a goal. Liam Purvis surged forward from corner back and fired over from acute angle 0—3 to 1—2. A  long searching ball from David McKeever found  Luke Caffrey  bearing down on goal—he rounded the keeper and finished to the net  1—3 to 1—2 . Trim tagged on a point to make it 1—3 each with time up. In added time Luke  Caffrey score three 0—3 (1F) and Jack Melia pointed to leave Simons leading at the break 1—7 to 1—3.

       Both teams scored  three points each during  third quarter with two from Caffrey (1f) and Kyle McEvoy  on the mark. Simons 1—10 Trim 1—6 at mid time  water break in second half.  Three more Luke  Caffrey points (2f) stretched Simonstown to six 1—13 to 1—7 with ten  minutes to play.​  Trim then began to dominate  play as  Simons faded  a little and  chalked on 1—3 (2fs) to tie the scores 1—13 to 2—10. Sean Foley put Trim ahead from a free and in sixth minute Fionn O Hanluain  converted a forty five to the great relief of his teams mates and supporters. The long  whistle sounded on the kick out.​
