Simonstown 1—14  (0—6)   St.Colmcilles 2—10(1—6)​

   Simonstown put in great finish coming from two down to score the last three points and top Croup C in the Fairy Steel Senior Championship under lights in Skryne on Thursday night with David Gough on the whistle.

Ben Hoey was the hero converting a difficult free in fourth minute of injury time to clinch victory their attacking play deserved. Hoey also opened the Navan mens account after six minutes. Further points from Eoghan Gough,Padraig McKeever(f),Aaron Farrelly and Hoey had the teams level at 0—5 each with twenty seven minutes played.St.Colmcilles got their first goal when Eoghan McCloughlan fisted a loose ball to the net. They added apoint in the next minute having gained possession from kick out but Hoey again stroked over from distance to the leave  Sea Siders leading at the break 1—6 to 0—6.

             A  McKeever free and Stafford point for Cilles started the second half scoring. Sean Conlon then found Aaron Farrelly with a delightfull foot pass and he rounded  the keeper and slid to net to tie scores 1—7 each. St.Colmcille second goal arrived a minute later as McCloughlan again reacted sharpest  and posted  past Robbie  Burlingham to put Cilles in front 2—7 to 1—7. Hoey Josh Carolan and Farrelly popped over three points in the following four minutes to tie the score 2—7 to 1—10. Ben Brennan converted two frees for Cilles while Luke Caffrey tapped over for Simonstwon.Matt Breen split the posts for Cille to put them two up 2—10 to 1—11 with two minutes to play. Eoghan Gough and Farrelly ​ slotted over to level the contest before Hoey stroked a late free over to claim victory by one point for Simonstown and winners in Group C.
