The U14 A ladies hosted Blackhall Gaels on Friday evening in round 2 of the division 2 league. Coming off the back of a defeat to Moynalvey two weeks before our ladies were itching to reimpose themselves and find their rhythm. They did this in style working up an 8 point lead after 10 minutes. Blackhall Gaels could not match the early intensity and movement with the scoreline widening by half time. Blackhall Gaels worked hard and got in behind a few times in the second half but an excellent Simonstown defence successfully repelled any attack. Our forwards and midfield continued to shine in the second half in the face of a tough defence by Blackhall Gaels. Our girls travel to Walterstown in two weeks where they will be aiming to build on Fridays win. A big well done to the girls for their effort in bouncing back and a thankyou to Blackhall Gaels for a great contest.
