St Michaels hosted Simonstown in this Ladies Intermediate Championship first round match on a cool

 Wednesday evening with the home ground in excellent condition. 

St Michaels had the better of the first half with Simonstowns shooting and decision making letting them down on numerous occasions, as they took a 3 point lead when referee Kieran Smith blew for half time (1-2 to 0-2). Simonstown began to click into gear in the second half and eventually wore down their steely opponents, kicking 9 points in the process to St Michaels solitary point in the second half. Simonstown can now look forward to a home fixture in round 2 when they welcome Rathoath next Friday at 7.30pm.
