Simonstown  1—12    Skryne  1—16.    ​ A  goal after twenty three minutes of the second half  proved crucial and gave  Skryne the impetus coupled with refereeing decisions to win the game by four points.      In an all acton start early first half scores from play by Eoghan Gough, Shane McEnery and Aaron Farrelly for Simons saw the teams level at 0—3 to 0—3  after eleven minutes. The Skryne  scores came from two  frees one from play.  Skryne then took the lead but Simons replied with a goal from Eoghan Gough to put Simons in front 1—3 to 0—4. Tadgh Hanrahan pointed from a distance. Ben Hoey clipped over a free while Neill Burke replied with two frees and one from play for the Skryne men to leave Simons just a point in front 1—5 to 0—7 with  five left to play in first half.  Two frees from Aaron Farrelly (Sims)  and two for Neill Burke(Sky) completed the scoring at half time. Half Time ; Simons 1—7(3f) Skryne   0—9(5)     Shane Barry  clipped over from forty metres  and Ben Hoey tapped over while Burke again from a free had the soreboard reading Sims 1—9   Skryne 0—10 after ten minutes. Hoey with a free and Shane McEnery from play while another Burke free made it 1—11 to 0—11 at the three quarter stage. Once again another free from Burke and followed by a high dropping in the Navan mens square fell kindly for a Skryne forward who finished to the net putting the Tara men in font 1—12 to 1—11  with seven minutes play left. Three more frees by Neill Burke and a point from play  completed the Skryne men tally.  A shot from  Luke Caffrey hit the crossbar and went over to complete Simonstowns total.  Neill Burke Skryne's centre half forward hit eleven frees for the Skryne men while Simonstown really earned their frees during the game.
